Jordan River Valley: Saving the Village of Al Aqabah
During our rebuilding of the kindergarten in Al Aqabah, the Israeli government issued demolition orders for the entire village including all homes, the mosque, and the medical center. We petitioned the Israeli Supreme Court to save the village as Israel invokes unilateral claim to the Jordan River Valley
East Jerusalem: Building and Zoning
Abir's Garden: A Safe Place to Grow
Combatants for Peace and the Rebuilding Alliance asks your help to build Phase 2 of a playground in memory of a little girl - and to bring those responsible to justice.
Mini Zoning in Beit Hanina
Work continues with Jewish and Palestinian urban planners to save their neighborhood by registering a mini-zoning plan with the Jerusalem municipality. Will the Municipality accept the plan? Maybe.Gaza: The Rachel Corrie Rebuilding Campaign
According to Human Rights Watch, over 2500 Palestinian homes were demolished by the Israeli Army since Sept. 2000. We started our campaign in Gaza by rebuilding for the Nasrallah family, the family whom the late Rachel Corrie stood to protect. The home is now complete and the next one for the Al Bahry family is underway, despite blockade. In January, we launched the "Hands Across the Border" Campaign to bring medicines to Gaza Community Mental Health Programme -- sadly, the medicines are still stalled in Cairo with the Doctor's Relief Agency and we have requested help from the U.S. State Department, the Egyptian Consulate, and Rotarians in Egypt. We'll keep working on it.
