Widespread destruction in Gaza has left nearly 2 million people in Gaza without homes. Rebuilding Alliance is proposing an innovative solution: building homes using repurposed rubble as a construction material. Help provide starter homes to 30 Gaza Families.

In addition, this Tuesday, Dec 2nd and also on Wed, Dec 3rd, GlobalGiving will match all donations of up to $2500, while funds last. Our goal is to raise $60,000 to move that important project forward.
We ask your help to build starter housing for extended families, 30 units at a time including some storefronts to help generate income. Each housing unit will have a firm foundation, waterproof roof, lighting, thick insulating walls that are warm in winter, cool in summer, tiled floor, high ceilings, indoor vented kitchen, windows doors, and a bathroom!
Tour Gaza Baytna (Gaza Our Home) Neighborhoods- First Home
Rebuilding Alliance, in exclusive partnership with MIDEAST Group, a Palestinian company based in Gaza City, drawing upon their years of testing and experience, completed the first prototype of Gaza Baytna Neighborhoods in May this year in Gaza City. The first prototype was built during the war in record time–14 days using repurposed rubble and cement, employing both skilled and unskilled labour, with proper electric wiring and plumbing.

Phase I & II
In these first phases of Gaza Baytna Neighborhoods, we will work with the UN to assess rubble safety. We’ll make more forms and request the small amount of cement needed— and there is a work-around using traditional building techniques. We’ll build the next prototype: a home for a large family with a storefront for their grocery shop.
