About Ahmed Manasra

Ahmad Manasra was arrested in 2015 when he was only 13. As a result of prolonged imprisonment and solitary confinement for over six months now, he suffers from serious mental illness. Holding him in solitary for such a long period is a clear violation of international law as the UN prohibits solitary confinement for more than 15 days.

Ahmed has already served two-thirds of the sentence and is eligible for a review by the committee. The Special Committee for Parole is required by the Court to reconsider the charge that had him tried as an adult. The Parole Committee will meet on June 19th, just after the Court meets on June 15th.

In the backdrop of his deteriorating health, Ahmed needs to be released immediately to receive psychological support. Press your member of Congress for the immediate release of Ahmed Manasra.
