Without this diet, dangerous levels of phenylalanine build up in their bodies, leading to irreversible brain damage.

Families in Gaza rely entirely on charity meals from community kitchens. But it is for Phenylketonuria (PKU) patients, the situation is miserable as they cannot simply eat anything.

PKU is a rare metabolic disorder that requires a strict diet of special low-protein foods, fruits, and vegetables. Without this diet, dangerous levels of phenylalanine build up in their bodies, leading to irreversible brain damage.

Marwan, Nismah, Layan, and Mahmoud four displaced siblings with PKU received fresh fruit and vegetables on June 28, 2025, as part of the fifth phase of food parcel distribution for PKU patients across Gaza. These siblings were finally able to enjoy a nutritious meal made from fresh spinach included in the vegetable parcels they received. For these displaced siblings who now live a hard life in a tent, this parcel was full of nutrition and hope.

Help us continue providing essential food parcels for children like Marwan, Nismah, Layan, and Mahmoud to stay healthy. Give Now–link in bio! https://bit.ly/FoodParcels4PKU
