“I’m holding onto hope, waiting for my turn to receive the care I need—outside the Gaza Strip.  Please keep me and all the wounded in your prayers”.

Dr. Hamouda, the lead for the PKU program in Gaza and a nutritionist, has just been discharged from the hospital. He was injured in the Shujaiya area of Gaza City. He reported that his condition has improved slightly; however, he is still experiencing partial paralysis in his left foot.

"Doctors have prescribed urgent nerve surgery that cannot be performed in Gaza due to a lack of medical resources and the overwhelming number of injuries."

Dr. Hamouda’s case has been referred to the World Health Organization (WHO) for evacuation and treatment abroad; however, the waiting list is long due to the high demand for medical evacuations. Dr. Hamouda said: “I’m holding onto hope, waiting for my turn to receive the care I need—outside the Gaza Strip.  Please keep me and all the wounded in your prayers”.

He added, "Children, elderly people with chronic illnesses, and pregnant women are the most vulnerable. Many are at risk of death, miscarriage, or giving birth to babies with permanent disabilities. The voices and images of starving people in Gaza have reached the world, yet it feels as though humanity has turned away. What we are facing is a catastrophic humanitarian crisis."

Rebuilding Alliance aims to deliver 684 food parcels to families with severely malnourished children in Gaza, including children with PKU who require a strict low-protein diet to survive. Please help us bring nourishment and hope to Gaza families. Give Now—https://goto.gg/41130 link in bio!
