‘How to Provide Nourishing Parcels to Gaza Families in time for Ramadan'

Rebuilding Alliance held a new episode of our webinar series, Behind the Scenes—‘How to Provide Nourishing Parcels to Gaza Families in time for Ramadan'—held on February 12th, 2026

We were honored to have Neveen join us from Gaza City. She serves as a coordinator with the Youth Vision Society, helping to strengthen coordination between the two organizations during the ongoing war in Gaza.

She shared that, more than two and a half years into the war, families are still struggling to recover. The needs remain immense, and humanitarian support is critical. International NGOs and overseas donors have continued their work through local partners—efforts that have kept people alive and prevented widespread starvation.

She said, “This Ramadan marks the third since the war began. While food is now available in markets during the current ceasefire, prices are extremely high and remain out of reach for thousands of families, especially for protein-rich foods.

Neveen highlighted the importance of Ramadan food parcel distributions, which saved lives during periods of severe hunger. She stressed the need to include meat to meet urgent nutritional requirements and restore dignity.

She also emphasized Rebuilding Alliance’s key role in enabling YVS to collaborate with major donors and expand services across Gaza. Despite destruction and loss, resilience continues—YVS has rebuilt the Edward Said Library, which is reopening this week.
