Volunteer
I have spent my entire career in communications and development. For five years, I worked at an international intermediary, helping raise funds for vetted nonprofits around the world. Currently, I freelance for different nonprofits as a writer and editor, where I work on grant applications and online content.
In 2019, I earned a graduate degree in communications. For my capstone, I worked with Rebuilding Alliance to create a communications plan. Over the course of a semester, I worked to develop a plan to launch the Gaza Breakfast Club, which would morph into the Mrs. Najah's Kitchen project.
I have a deep commitment to human rights and believe that everyone deserves dignity. Growing up, I learned about how my family was treated in Europe for being Jewish - I live in America today because my great-grandparents had to flee their land. Later in my life, I developed a connection with the people of Palestine and saw the similarities between their struggle and my family's history.
I was also taught that every life is a universe. Those words inspire the work I do.
