Jamal

Chair

I am proud to be the Chair of the Board of Directors of Rebuilding Alliance because of its beneficial and focused work in Palestine.

I first came to the US from Jordan in 1989 on a scholarship and found my way to California. Because nonprofit service runs in my family, I care deeply about helping my community. As an entrepreneur and business owner, I draw upon my diverse skills in finance, technology, and hospitality to help Rebuilding Alliance develop and grow.

Rebuilding Alliance has an entrepreneurial spirit: it has sold organic olive oil from Palestine; imported Solar lights from China, shipping through the blockade to reach the children in Gaza. Now, Rebuilding Alliance is helping NGO hospitals in Gaza with medical supplies and helping deliver food to needy families in Gaza. Our work to stop demolitions in the West Bank and Jerusalem makes a difference in the lives of the communities we safeguard.  My talents include bringing people together, thinking deeply about issues, and assuring that RA continues to be effective, transparent, and fair.
